We had a great morning at our Stamford shop filming our Christmas table tips edit for Country Living. Step behind the scenes with us to see the setup, the interview and the finished film. We started early by decorating the Christmas tree, hanging stockings, laying the Christmas table and wrapping lots of presents in our Holly & Berry gift wrap.
Stockings were hung on the mantlepiece, flowers were arranged and the perfect festive scene was set ready for the interview! Coffee was consumed, a microphone was fixed to Sophie's Holly & Berry apron and she was ready to go! The cameraman set up his equipment and put Sophie at ease and the interview began. Sophie was asked about her Christmas table tips for pulling together a festive table setting to impress guests. She talked through her four top tips:
- Layering the table - a simple table runner, placemats, coasters, napkins and crackers instantly transform a table. Different textures add depth and interest and Sophie likes to tie her napkins with a pretty ribbon and a touch of foliage to give them some additional seasonal style.
- Flowers - Sophie loves flowers and the simplicity of white roses at Christmas adds a touch of style to any table setting.
- Candles - Pretty tea lights and scented candles add a touch of festive sparkle to any table setting. Try and use a mix of taller candlesticks and shorter tea light holders to add a height differentiation.
- Personal Gifts - Everyone loves a present and Sophie's final tip is a personal little gift at everyone's table setting. There were quite a few takes of her wrapping up presents and tying those pesky ribbons!
