Product safety recall

• Stop using the product immediately.
• Please take a photo of the product.
• If the product is undamaged, place in a heavy-duty plastic bag, double tape it securely, label it clearly and store in a secure location out of the reach of children.
• If the product is damaged and the filling is accessible, clean-up sites where the product was used using wet cloths to avoid generating dust. Wear gloves and a mask. Double bag the filling and product along with the used gloves, mask and cloths. Keep children and other people away from areas where the marble chips have been used until the area has been cleaned.
• If you purchased the product directly from Sophie Allport, return the product to one of our three shops with proof of purchase for a full refund.
• If you are unable to physically return the product to a Sophie Allport Shop, or the product was purchased via a Sophie Allport online marketplace, follow the steps above and contact your local authority / access their website for guidance on safe disposal of asbestos in your area.
• If you purchased the product from one of our stockists, return the product to the stockist with proof of purchase and a photograph of the product for a full refund.

Are there any health risks associated with this product?

The Office for Product Safety and Standards, UK Health Security Agency and Health and Safety Executive have issued a joint statement on Asbestos in Consumer Products, which states that the risks to health are expected to be low, for these recalled products during normal use, even with occasional short-term exposures and when following the disposal instructions.  To reduce any potential risks to health, it is important to stop any use or access to the affected products and follow the clean-up and recall advice.
