Other blind types to consider

Venetian blinds – these types of blinds tend to be made from wood or aluminium and are a great alternative to shutters and will add sophistication to any room. The horizontal slats make them easy to control allowing you to filter the light in and out of the room, however, they won’t block the light completely making them unsuitable for those who need complete darkness to sleep.

Vertical blinds – Vertical blinds work a lot like Venetian blinds however they are vertical instead of horizontal. They are usually made from a fabric which allows for overlap over each blind, which means you can control the light better, often people choose to have both vertical blinds and curtains, so they can still filter the light through the blinds, and then in the evening they can shut the curtains for optimum darkness.
