It’s mid-June and what are Sophie and her team doing? Decorating Christmas trees, baking mince pies and shooting the new Home for Christmas Collection of course. All our photoshoots are great fun, but the Christmas shoots bring a feeling of nostalgia, festivity and excitement, even though we are six months early! Step behind the scenes and watch us create a winter wonderland at the start of summer.
The day begins with lots of festive baking, including mince pies, gingerbread men, mini Christmas puddings and cake – and the pleasant smell of Christmas fills Sophie’s house.
Finding some festive foliage and Christmas props was a real challenge in June, including attaining a Christmas tree and finding holly trimmings. Cuttings of rosemary worked beautifully around our Christmas cake, and it was a real showstopper.
With the baking completed, the team add the finishing touches which includes attaching ribbon to our Cinnamon & Orange Botanical Candle, bringing in added smells of Christmas with a seasonal scent of winter red berries, star anise, cinnamon sticks and sliced oranges.
It’s the small details which make all the difference to our photoshoots, so once the festive setting is ready, it’s time to light the candles and begin snapping away at our joyful setting.
Our photographers get busy shooting all our products as well as creating lifestyle shots. These Home for Christmas Felt Decorations bring colour and texture as they hang beautifully in our tree. They also make the perfect decoration and accessory to dining tables too.
That’s a wrap. Once we’ve finished it’s time to sit down and enjoy a piece of cake and cuppa tea! The perfect way to end a busy day. We hope you have enjoyed a sneak peek behind the scenes, now let’s appreciate some of the final shots.

Sign of Summer – Is it the beautiful cream rose that has managed to sneak in an appearance at the corner of one of the shots? Gorgeous Christmas designs as always! Thank you!

I was looking for a Christmas table runner when I saw yours called “coming home for Christmas” with the most wonderful design and with my son & daughter and families coming home from Australia for Christmas including a new baby grandson who we haven’t met yet, I had to order this one with napkins to match. Can’t wait for it to arrive, or Christmas.

Love these behind the scenes posts. Gives me a greater appreciation for all the hard work and creativity. Plus a little bit of holiday inspiration thrown in too (definitely thinking about a Christmas place setting like that now). All the best from Canada! Amanda – Life at Cloverhill lifeatcloverhill.com
