Choosing a blind for your bathroom
Coastal designs
Sophie's seaside prints are a natural fit for a bathroom. Coastal Boats shows her illustrated sailboats, lighthouses and birds, and both the Roman and roller versions are described as ideal for bathrooms. Sea Birds comes on a soothing blue or an off-white background. Whales Deep Duck Egg sets Sophie's whales against a striped background, and Lobster White has dark blue lobsters on crisp white.
Dragonflies, gingham and plains
For something softer, the Dragonfly design comes on sand, grey blue, deep mustard or teal. The Linen Look versions have a simple dragonfly sketch in duck egg, gold or teal, and Watercolour Dragonfly comes in blue or white with soft watercolour tones. Gingham is available in Pale Blue, Pink, Off White, Sage, Teal, Warm Stone and Rustic Red, and the plain navy and rustic red blinds work well alongside a patterned towel or bath mat.
Roller or Roman?
Roller blinds are made from 100% polyester and roll up neatly out of the way. Many roller descriptions name the bathroom as a suitable room, including Coastal Boats, Sea Birds Blue, Watercolour Dragonfly White, Whales and the Off White, Pale Blue and Pink Gingham. Their care guide is wipe clean only. Roman blinds are made from 100% cotton and draw up into soft folds. Measuring and ordering
Each blind is made to your measurements, and many let you choose options such as fitting type, header style and lining. Made to measure blinds cannot be returned unless faulty, so double check your measurements and order a fabric sample if you are deciding between colours. Many of these designs also suit kitchen blinds.
