15 Influencers Sophie Allport Loves

Whether it’s a peek through a living room window or a scroll through someone’s Instagram feed, we all enjoy seeing how other people decorate their homes. In fact, social media is a great place for drawing inspiration: be it a bathroom renovation you’ve spotted on Pinterest or a photo of someone’s Scandi-style kitchen, the internet is the perfect for place for finding some interior design inspiration. So, which interior influencer should you be checking out if you’re looking for new ideas for your home? Here are fifteen of the Sophie Allport team’s favourite interior influencers right now - their styles, living arrangements and personalities are unique, so we’re sure you’ll draw some serious inspiration from at least one of this lovely lot…

Charlotte @thehomethatmademe Charlotte’s Instagram has long been a favourite of ours here at Sophie Allport. Those soothing colours and muted tones make for an interior that’s perfect for grown-ups but child-friendly too. Think creams, beiges and blues, soft greys and warm taupes: she’s one of those interior influencers you’re going to want to check out, pronto. Jen @notthecitylife A country girl after our own heart, Jen’s Instagram feed is filled with snapshots of her life in the countryside in her cosy little cottage. Built in 1804 (and currently under loving restoration), her home looks both fresh and traditional all at once. Take inspiration from her bright white walls and attention to detail - Jen’s on the ‘micro’ side of the interior influencer scale and giving off some seriously tranquil vibes - we can’t wait to see more! Nicky @joy_interiors Nicky’s home will give you plenty of home decor inspiration if you’re into country style: it’s a sublime space with lots of exposed wood, beautiful flooring and careful attention to detail, from the vases of flowers to the tiles behind her Aga. We’d love a cup of tea in her light-filled kitchen, especially with the sun shining through the window! Maria @petal_and_primrose Another one of our favourite interior influencers by a country mile is Maria. Her beautiful thatched-roof cottage has us longing for a good catch up beside her log burner, and don’t get us started on her beautiful bathroom complete with roll-top tub. We can’t get enough of her gorgeous pooch, Poppy, either! Find her on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/petal_and_primrose/

A post shared by Hannah Gray (@hl_gray) on

Hannah @hl_gray Hannah’s home is featuring in Country Home & Interiors April 2018, and with good reason: that exquisite open-plan kitchen diner (complete with copper pendants and generous skylights), her lovely bedroom with the exposed brick chimney breast, and her cosy living room looks perfect for Saturday night’s recharging with family.. it’s a recipe for some serious interior design inspiration. A post shared by Julie (@the_lemonpipers) on

Jullie @the_lemonpipers It was the tiles behind Julie’s Aga that first caught our attention: whenever do you see such a cheerful, playful print in a kitchen?! That would be reason enough to consider Julie one of our favourite interior influencers here at Sophie Allport, but we also particularly love her gorgeous open-plan kitchen diner. The windows at the end of the room let in lots of light (inspiring our imaginary kitchen renovations!), and we love the gallery wall at the top of her stairs too. Kate @mad_about_the_house Kate is an interiors journalist, and the way she writes about her home is every bit as wonderful as the way she’s designed it too. Her style is rather different to the interior influencers we’ve listed above, but that’s why we like it so much: her use of dark tones and jewel-coloured fabrics always make her photographs stand out, and we have a serious case of envy over her bathroom. Twin sinks with a beautiful mirror over each, and that incredible Farrow and Ball paint? Count us in! Lucy @__itslucy__ Lucy is an interior influencer we’ve had our eye on for a while, enjoying every inch of her Victorian terrace in Liverpool. We’re especially fond of her dark grey living room with her artfully styled shelves, and we’re smitten with her beautiful bathroom too… just check out those floor tiles! We’re sure you’ll take lots of home decor inspiration from her dining room as well, and we’re big fans of those industrial-style lights hanging over her dining table. Lisa @_lisa_dawson_ If you follow interior influencers on social media, no doubt you’ve come across Lisa Dawson before. Queen of cool, Lisa’s home is an eclectic combination of so many styles, and we love the way she fuses together lots of different patterns, colours and sources of inspiration. Sharon @hornsby_style Totally different to any of the other interior influencers on this list, Sharon’s home is a great source of home decor inspiration if you’re into big, bold statements. Whether it’s her stylish use of dark blues and exposed brickwork, or her knack for styling corners using pieces from an array of interior design styles, Sharon’s home is well worth a look if you’d like your home to stand out from the crowd. And goodness, Sharon’s kitchen… it might well be our favourite of them all! Read her blog: https://hornsbystyle.com/ Find her on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hornsby_style/

Leoma @styletheclutter Another of our favourite interior influencers, we fell for Leoma as soon as we saw her Instagram name - ‘styling the clutter’. Leoma pulls of a home that’s oozing style and sophistication while making it a welcoming, warm place for her and family, with an approach to the colour scheme and textures that make it both sophisticated and practical. Elle @feathering_the_empty_nest If you follow Elle on Instagram, you’ll have noticed that we’re already big fans of her and her beautiful home - Elle’s gorgeous pug, Boris, has been styling our new Pug dog bed, and doing an exceptionally good job of it too! But it isn’t just those lovely little paws that makes Elle one of our favourite interior influencers - her gorgeous kitchen is bright and airy and features cabinetry that’s the most enticing shade of Farrow and Ball paint, and we love that her eye for detail extends all the way to the parts of a home many of us overlook, such as the floor.
