Choosing upholstered or oak dining chairs
Upholstered dining chairs
The Witham Buttoned Back Dining Chair comes in Stone and Cream, with a button-back design, antiqued brass-studded trim and rustic oak legs. The cream version measures H 100 x W 51 x D 51cm with a 50cm seat height and arrives ready assembled. The Holkham Navy Stripe Dining Chair has a navy stripe down the centre of a neutral 55% linen, 45% cotton fabric on oak legs. It measures H 100 x W 51 x D 59cm, with a 48cm seat height, and is also ready assembled. For colour, the Rutland Dining Chair has a 100% oak frame, a padded seat and backrest in a rust fabric with a velvety texture, and studded detailing. It is H 92 x W 46 x D 61cm.
Oak and hemp
For a lighter look, the Langham Curved Dining Chair combines a solid oak frame in a light grey-washed finish with a curved top and a hemp seat and backrest. It measures H 102 x W 50 x D 60cm, and you can wipe it with a damp cloth. The Oakham Dining Chair is solid oak with a classic slatted back and a very light distressed surface under a protective lacquer. At H 87 x W 46 x D 47cm it is the most compact chair here, and it complements the Oakham Rectangle Dining Table and Bench.
Getting the height right
Seat heights run from 46cm on the Oakham to 50cm on the Witham Cream, so compare them with your table. Soften a wooden seat with our kitchen and dining chair cushions, see armchairs in upholstered chairs and seating, or add a footstool to the sitting room.
