We caught up with the lovely team at Nest Cardiff, who are our Stockist of the Month for July! Read all about their independent shop, which is situated in a the lovely village of Rhiwbina, in Cardiff.
Tell us a little bit about your shop...
Established in 2010, Nest is a proudly independent gift and homeware store in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. Nest stocks carefully curated gifts, homeware and accessories. We offer something for everyone whether they are looking for a little something for their home or a special gift for a loved one.
What do you love about being a shop owner?
I love that no day is ever the same and that the shop is constantly changing with new products coming in. I also love sourcing new products that I know our customers will love.
Have you ever had any famous faces pop in?
Being in South Wales, it is not uncommon to spot a rugby player in and around the shop!

Tell us a little bit about the place you are located...
Rhiwbina is a lovely village in Cardiff and is home to many independents just like us! The community in the village has supported us from the very beginning and we consider many of our customers friends. We are often some of the first to know when customers have babies, or are getting married, or have passed exams!
Your favourite time of year in the shop?
We love dressing the shop for each season but nothing compares to Christmas. The atmosphere in and around the shop and the customers' faces when they come in always makes the effort we go to worth while.
Your favourite moment in the shop?
In November 2020 we celebrated 10 years in business which was a huge milestone and something I am very proud of.
What first attracted you to Sophie Allport products?
We love the colours and designs and how they fit into our brand.
What is your favourite Sophie Allport collection?
Personally, I love the hearts but I think if you asked our customers they would say the bees.
