Q&A with itsy Bitsy - February's Stockist of the Month

We sat down with the lovely team from itsy Bitsy, who are Sophie Allport's Stockist of the Month for February. From the countryside to rustic country living, we talk all things Sophie Allport and have a little catchup with the boutique.

Tell us a little bit about itsy Bitsy...

We are an independent family run business situated in the heart of the Peak District, in a little town called Chapel-en-le-Frith. We are a Mother and Daughter buying team who work together to cherry-pick the best products on the market to sell in our boutique. We stock products from ladies’ fashion to home interiors, and our customers describe us as the ‘mini Harrods of Chapel’. We pride ourselves on offering the best customer service, and since opening the doors of our shop our customer have become one big IB family. As a family, we are committed to helping the charities within our community and last year we held our own Charity Fashion Show and Christmas party that raised £3,915.

Where did the name itsy Bitsy come from?

The name came from Michaela. As she loves to source a ‘teeny weeny’ bit of everything.

What first attracted you to Sophie Allport products?

Sophie Allport products sit perfectly in our rustic country living designed boutique. As we are located in the countryside, we found that the designs complement the environment where we’re based. Being able to choose collections that complement each other makes the brand so special. The quality of all the items are first class.

Describe your shop in three words:

A hidden gem.

Two things you can’t leave your shop without?

A coffee and an itsy Bitsy bespoke candle.

Had any famous faces visit itsy Bitsy?

We haven’t had a visit from any famous faces, but they would always be very welcome in our little shop. On a recent buying trip, we did have the pleasure of meeting and chatting to Angel from ‘Escape to the Chateau’. We hope one day she and Dick will visit our town in the Peak District.
