- 6 - 8 ice cubes
- 500ml cold milk
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- ½ - 1 cup espresso
- 1 – 2 tsp honey
In a blender, mix all the ingredients on a smoothie function until the ice has crushed and a thick foam has formed. Pour into a latte glass and serve immediately.
EASY ESPRESSO ICE CREAM
This scrumptious ice cream is easy to make and will definitely impress at your next dinner party.
- 6 shots (200ml) of espresso
- 1 litre of ready-made custard
In a tray that’ll fit in your freezer, pour and mix together the espresso and custard. Place in the freezer. Use a fork to mix the ingredients every hour, for three hours, until set - this stops the formation of ice crystals. Once set, serve in an espresso cup and enjoy!
Traditionally drank by Italians at breakfast, the Cappuccino was patented in 1901 and is now one of the most popular hot drinks.
- 1 shot espresso
- Approx. 150ml milk
- Optional cocoa powder for decoration
With your frothing jug no more than 1/3 full, foam milk according to instructions provided with your coffee machine. In a pre-warmed cup, make your espresso. Pour steamed milk over the espresso and then immediately top with foam. The ideal cappuccino ratio is equal thirds of espresso, steamed milk and foam. For a special touch, use a heart-shaped stencil cut from card and sprinkle cocoa powder over.
