Hambleton Hall is a Sophie Allport favourite - we are lucky enough to have one of Britain’s finest country house hotels close by, and it is impressively included in both the Relais & Châteaux and Pride of Britain collection of luxury hotels.
Located half an hour from Sophie Allport's HQ, some of the team have dined at their amazing Michelin starred restaurant where Aaron Patterson has been head chef since 1992 having trained with leading chefs including Raymond Blanc and Anton Mosiman. Hambleton Hall has the longest retained Michelin Star in the UK, having held its Star since 1982.
An impressive walled kitchen garden is cultivated intensively for herbs, salad vegetables and soft fruit. In summer, courgette flowers are sent daily to the kitchen to form part of one of Aaron Patterson’s favourite dishes.
The Hall offers guests an experience to remember. It dates back to 1881 so has a real sense of history. There are 15 beautifully decorated bedrooms each distinctively styled plus the hotel boasts one of the most sought after views in the area - a stunning lakeside setting on Rutland Water.
The Hall’s gardens and grounds cover 17 acres, surrounded by Rutland Water, where you can walk and explore during your stay.
And there's even a stunning outdoor swimming pool if you decide to visit in the summer months!
If you'd like the chance to win a night away at Hambleton hall for two people with dinner, bed and breakfast included, simply enter on our competition page HERE. Terms and conditions apply and the competition closes on 28th February 2020.
